RBS Projects holds preparation courses for project managers prior to PMP® certification in conjunction with the Technion’s Division of Continuing Education at the Haifa campus and the campus in Sarona, Tel Aviv.
The Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification ensures that organizations can employ project managers who have all the knowledge necessary to manage projects. Some organizations have adopted this certification as a precondition for employee promotion in terms of position, salary and more. To apply for certification, go to the PMI® website – https://www.pmi.org
PMI and PMP® Certification
The PMI is the largest international project management organization in the world, with a membership of nearly one million project managers around the world. It was founded in 1969 by a group of NASA veterans who had been involved in spaceflight projects and applied the knowledge they acquired there to the project management world. The PMI sets the bar for project management and its body of knowledge is the standard recognized by the American Standards Institute (ANSI).
In order to maintain a high professional level in project management, the organization has established certification programs similar to those taken by accountants, lawyers and others. There are three levels of certification and demonstration of professional ability (both in terms of knowledge and in terms of operational tools) that can ensure the success of a project. The accepted accreditation in Israel is the PMP® certification – the Technion’s “Advanced Project Management Methodologies and Preparation for PMP® Exam” course is one of the leading PMP® certification courses in Israel.
Requirements for PMP® Certification
Requirements for PMP® certification include the following:
- 35-hour project management course or workshop, taught by registered education supplier.
- Training conducted by consultants, consulting firms or companies that provide training in project management.
- Training provided by an academic body such as a university or college, Technion and more.
The course held by RBS Projects is intended for project managers, industrial engineers, etc. The PMP® course prepares participants for PMP® certification, which is currently accepted by many tech companies in their project manager training process. According to recent data, project managers who pass the PMP® certification exam earn an average of 10% more than their peers.
PMP® certification is one of the ten most demanded professional certifications in the world, as seen at www.certcities.com.
